Redsn0w 0.9.8 Beta 2 Can Now Jailbreak iOS 5 Beta 3

Well you may know that iOS 5 beta 3 is already out for developers, so has the iPhone Dev Team clinched on to the uphill task by launching the lastest build of Redsn0w jailbreak software – version 0.9.8 beta 2 – that has the ability to support tethered jailbreaking on iOS 5 beta 3 running on any iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 [GSM/CDMA] and the original first-gen iPad (and iPod touch too).
Unfortunately JailbreakMe doesn’t support jailbreaking on iOS 5.
However, we still have other jailbreak tools to tackle iOS 5.
It’s only been a few hours since the release of iOS beta 3 and the iPhone Dev Team made it public that the redsn0w 0.9.8 beta 1 can jailbreak iOS 5 beta 3. But due to Sandbox-related bugs that led to issues of App Store apps, as well as Cydia crashing, the team has released redsn0w 0.9.8 beta 2 with bug fixes.
We’ve updated redsn0w to account for the sandbox changes that affected App Store apps in 5.0b3 (and it now recognizes the IPSWs for all three betas so far).  If you already jailbroke 5.0b3 using the previous redsn0w, you don’t need to re-jailbreak…just use this updated version to boot tethered.  Start pointing redsn0w at the 5.0b3 IPSW starting with 5.0b3

How To Jailbreak iOS 5 Beta 3 with Redsn0w 0.9.8 Beta 2

The procedure remains exactly the same as that of redsn0w 0.9.8 beta 1 for iOS 5 beta 1. The only difference is the selection of iOS 5 beta 3 IPSW when you are prompted by redsn0w to opt for the firmware file .but make sure you download the correct version of firmware (i.e. iOS 5 beta) and the latest version of redsn0w.
Here’s the direct download link of redsn0w 0.9.8 beta 2. (We assume you already got the firmware file for iOS 5 beta 3.)
Not to forget, the iOS 5 beta is now only available for developers. The public version will be released in the fall. As a final reminder, if you’re depending on the ultrasn0w unlock, don’t upgrade to iOS 5 beta even you got a chance to do so. Otherwise, you’ll lose the unlock.
